First time visitors
when can i do drop-in climbing?
Drop-ins are welcome anytime during regular gym hours! During the school year when we run after school programming, drop-ins may have to wait a few minutes to be processed between 3pm - 5pm, if staff are busy with groups, but are still welcome!
what do i need?
The only thing you really need to visit our gym and try it out is some stoke! But otherwise...
- you will need shoes, clean runners are fine for first time/casual climbers, but climbing shoes will perform better and we have rental shoes if you don't have your own!
- climbing chalk is optional, but can help with grip, it's included with our rental shoes!
- comfortable clothes and a water bottle are a bonus!
What is bouldering?
Bouldering is style of rock climbing that takes place on shorter walls or boulders. Instead of having a rope and harness for protection, there are foam mats below you.
Bouldering is the best form of climbing for learning and developing movements skills, as well as building strength and power.
Is it hard?
Gym bouldering is designed to be friendly to all skill levels! We have problems for complete beginners all the way to (almost) pros! The best way to find out is to come and try!
